Postdoc Position in Gamma Ray Astronomy - CTA and H.E.S.S. - [pic] The Elementary Particle Physics Group at the Physics Department of Humboldt University Berlin (http://www-eep.physik.hu-berlin.de/) invites applications for a postdoc position in very high-energy gamma-ray astronomy. Candidates are given the opportunity to participate in the analysis of H.E.S.S. data (galactic sources, multi-wavelength studies, dark matter searches) and to play a strong role in the design of the future CTA (http://www.cta-observatory.org) gamma ray observatory (array operation centre, data acquisition system). The research will be carried out in close cooperation with the CTA group at DESY in Zeuthen (http://zms.desy.de) and the ECAP in Erlangen (http://www.ecap.physik.uni- erlangen.de). Applicants should hold a PhD in physics with focus on astrophysics/astronomy or elementary particle physics. Software skills and experience in the operation of astrophysical observatories or particle detectors would be assets.
