Ph.D. positions in theoretical astroparticle physics and astrophysics Positions are open for Ph.D. students in the field of theoretical astroparticle physics and astrophysics. The newly established group of Prof. Martin Pohl, jointly based at Potsdam University and DESY Zeuthen, Germany, is engaged in a spectrum of activities, ranging from modeling data of gamma-ray observatories such as VERITAS, Fermi, and CTA to deep theoretical studies of particle acceleration in and radiation from Active Galactic Nuclei, Supernova remnants, and sites of dark-matter annihilation and decay. Ph.D. students may embark on a mixture of analytical work and extensive simulations. Besides the group leader, three postdoctoral associates ensure an inspiring environment for postgraduate studies. Interested students should direct inquiries and submit their application including Curriculum Vitae, one letter of reference, and a copy of their academic record (transcripts, diplomas, etc) by electronic mail to Prof. Martin Pohl, Institut fuer Physik und Astronomie, Universitaet Potsdam, Karl-Liebknecht-Strasse 24/25, 14476 Potsdam, Germany Tel: +49 331 9775926, Secr. +49 331 9775651 E-mail: pohlmadq -at- gmail.com http://www-zeuthen.desy.de/~pohlmadq/ Candidates must hold an appropriate Masters degree to directly enter the Ph.D. track at Potsdam University.
